As a Care Worker with Safehands Care you will be supporting disabled and older people to live as independently as possible in their own homes. Ideally you will have a caring nature and be a people person. You do not need to have a background in formal care as we offer full training and support for you to start your career with Safehands Care.
A typical day in the life of a Care Worker will involve visiting a number of service users to support them with various tasks depending on their needs. For example morning visits may consist of personal care, support with medication, light domestic duties and meal preparation. During each visit you will be required to record factual information about what has taken place during the visit in the daily log book and to record any medications administered.
You can choose whether you want to work full or part time hours but we would expect you to be available to work alternate weekends and some evening shifts as we provide care between the hours of 7am to 11pm.
The role of Care Worker is very rewarding and could be your first step in a career in social care.
